Carriers Overview
The Carriers section is the network of carriers that subcontract for your forwarder company: the road transport operators you assign loads to. From here you add a new carrier — manually, by invitation, or via CSV import — review each carrier's profile and fleet, report behaviour that doesn't comply with the network's standards, and remove carriers you no longer want in your network.
A reading map of the entire Carriers screen: where it lives in the platform, what each column in the table means, how the status and search filters work, what the detail drawer contains, and which actions you can perform on each carrier. For specific flows (adding and inviting a carrier, importing a CSV, managing the «skip onboarding» flag) see the dedicated guides linked at the end.
Where the section lives
From the platform's left-hand menu, under the «Operational & Transport» group, click the «Carriers» entry (network icon). The direct URL of the page is /company/{companyId}/network.
The heading you see at the top is «Carrier network».
The carriers table
The table lists every carrier in your network. Each row is clickable: it opens the detail drawer on the right with profile and fleet info.
The columns always visible are:
- Company name — the carrier's legal name, sortable (click the header to flip A→Z / Z→A).
- VAT — the VAT number prefixed with the country code (e.g.
ITIT03031930355). - CITY — registered office city (e.g.
Carpi,Cremona). - Status — badge «Active» (operational, green), «Invited» (pending invite, orange), «Suspended» (suspended by Truckscanner's team after a report, amber).
- Recommended — dedicated badge if you've enabled «Guaranteed reference» (skip onboarding) on the carrier.
- Vehicles — total number of vehicles in the carrier's fleet.
- Drivers — total number of drivers registered on the carrier's side.
- Actions — two icons at the row's end: flag (report) and trash (remove).
To the right of the filter bar there's a column-customisation icon: clicking it lets you show/hide optional columns (Email, Phone, Notes, Invite date, Created at).
At the bottom the pagination: «Results 1-N of M», «Rows per page» selector (default 10) and the four page-navigation buttons.
Below tablet width the table disappears and is replaced by a list of compact cards: company name + status badge at the top, VAT and city below, summary chips «N VEHICLES» and «N DRIVERS», and a separated footer with the report and delete icons. Tapping the card's text area opens the same detail drawer as the desktop version.
The filters
Above the table there's a two-level bar that helps you narrow the list down.
Status
The four tabs at the top are filters on the carrier's status in your network. Each tab has a counter next to it with the matching number of carriers:
- All — shows the entire network, regardless of status.
- Active — only carriers you operationally collaborate with right now.
- Invited — only carriers you've invited but who haven't completed registration yet.
- Suspended — only carriers suspended by Truckscanner's team after a report (yours or another forwarder's in the network).
The active tab stays highlighted and its counter turns lime.
Search
The «Search» field below the tabs lets you filter by company name or VAT. The placeholder is «Search by name or VAT…» — as soon as you start typing, the table updates live (no Enter key required). Clearing the text restores the full list.
Recommended only
The «Recommended only» toggle, off by default, shows just the carriers you've activated guaranteed reference on (skip onboarding). Useful when you want to see at a glance who is bypassing the standard documentary verification because you vouch for them.
Active filters appear as chips below the bar: clicking the X on a chip removes that filter; when you have two or more, a «Clear all» link appears to wipe them in one click.
The carrier detail drawer
Clicking a row in the table opens a panel on the right that shows the carrier's profile, fleet and actions. At the top you always see:
- the company name in large type,
- the status badge on the network (
Active,Invited,Suspended).
The drawer has a single «Data» tab that contains everything in one vertical stream.
The «Data» tab sections, top to bottom:
- Company data — VAT with country prefix, registered office city, verification status (
ACTIVEif the carrier has completed documentary onboarding or has guaranteed reference;PENDINGif onboarding is in progress;SUSPENDEDif Truckscanner's team has suspended them). - Fleet — two clickable chips: number of vehicles and number of drivers. They are real counts pulled from the carrier's records.
- Guaranteed reference — toggle that enables/disables the reference for this carrier. When on, you declare them a trusted carrier: the initial activation (at invitation time) makes them skip documentary onboarding and lands them in
ACTIVEimmediately. Turning the toggle off later doesn't roll the carrier back — it's only an indication of your relationship, it doesn't affect the carrier's status on the platform. - AI profile —
Coming soon. AI-generated carrier summary built by Sara from job history, reviews and communications. - Transport history —
Coming soon. List of mandates assigned to this carrier with final state and on-time KPIs. - Reviews —
Coming soon. Reviews you've left after completed mandates. - Notes — free text you want to associate with the carrier (e.g. commercial terms, specific operational contacts, preferred load types). Saved with the «SAVE NOTES» button.
At the bottom, the two direct actions on the carrier: REPORT and DELETE.
The actions — report and remove
At the end of each table row there are two icons, each with a tooltip on hover. The same two actions are available inside the drawer at the bottom, labelled for clarity.
Report
The flag icon (Report) opens a confirmation dialog with the carrier's name and a «Reason for the report» textarea.
The dialog's description reads: «You are reporting {name} for behaviour not compliant with the network's professionalism rules. The carrier will be suspended and our team will verify the situation.»
You fill in the reason (placeholder: «Describe the non-compliant behaviour...») and click the «SEND REPORT» button (lime). The carrier immediately moves to Suspended state and our team receives the report: a review case is opened, the carrier no longer receives loads via Leo while the case is open, and we'll contact you if extra documentation is needed. Confirmation toast «Report sent. The carrier has been suspended pending verification».
Truckscanner's network is collaborative: a report you submit doesn't suspend the carrier only for you, but for all forwarders in the network until the team closes the case. That's why the reason is mandatory and we manually review every report — avoid emotional reports, reserve them for documentable behaviour (e.g. abandoned load, falsified documents, repeated failure to honour delivery windows).
Remove
The trash icon (Delete) removes the carrier from your network. It opens a confirmation dialog «Remove carrier — Are you sure you want to remove {name} from your network?». Confirming with the red REMOVE button takes the carrier out of your table and your load assignment selectors.
The removal is local: you no longer see them, but the carrier still exists on Truckscanner and keeps collaborating with other forwarders. If you need them again later, you re-add them via the «+ ADD CARRIER» dialog from scratch.
Adding carriers: single new or bulk import
In the page header at the top right there are the two entry-point buttons:
- «+ ADD CARRIER» (lime) — opens the «Add carrier» dialog where you search by VAT, and depending on the result (carrier already in your network, carrier already on Truckscanner but not in your network, carrier not yet registered) the platform proposes the right flow: direct add, add existing, or invitation by email.
- «⤴ IMPORT CSV» (outline) — opens the bulk-import dialog: you download a
template_vettori.csvtemplate with preset columns (company name, country, VAT, contact name, contact email, contact phone, referenced, notes), fill it in and upload it.
For step-by-step details of these flows see the dedicated guides linked at the end.
Carrier status: what each label means
An important distinction because a carrier can have two different «statuses»:
- Network status (the table's
Statuscolumn):Active/Invited/Suspended. It reflects the relationship between you and the carrier — whether they actively collaborate with you, whether they're just waiting to accept the invite, whether they're locked in review. You change it via the page's actions. - Verification status (visible inside the drawer):
ACTIVE/PENDING/SUSPENDED. It reflects the carrier's status on the platform overall — whether they completed documentary onboarding, whether they're still in registration, whether they've been suspended globally. The system decides this based on uploaded documents and any reports.
The two statuses are independent: a carrier with verification status PENDING (still uploading documents) can be «Active» in your network if you turned guaranteed reference on for them — in that case the system marks them ACTIVE immediately, skipping onboarding.
Guaranteed reference is your statement: «I know this company, I vouch for them». If you enable
it at invitation time, the carrier lands directly operational (ACTIVE) without having to upload
registry extracts / insurance / road-transport licence / certifications. On the carrier's side
that means seeing the full home dashboard immediately instead of the onboarding home. On your
side, however, you take responsibility for having qualified them upstream. For the full flow see
the guide Adding and inviting a carrier.
The page on mobile
Below tablet width the page reorganises for the phone's vertical orientation.
In particular:
- The header's two buttons stack into a full-width column instead of being side by side.
- The status tabs wrap instead of scrolling horizontally: if all 4 tabs don't fit on one row, «Suspended» drops to the second.
- The column customiser is hidden (drag-drop popovers are unusable on touch).
- The table becomes a card list: each carrier is a card with a clickable header (opens drawer), summary chips for vehicles/drivers, and a separate action footer with flag + trash icons.
